Note : In 2021 Asia Bookworm advertised another set where the 1909 and 1908 editions were paired, leaving one to speculate that these mixed sets were as issued by the publisher. Further complicating matters is that the beginning of the first volume not only contains the Prefaces to the first edition (dated 1881) and Second edition (1885), but a Preface to IXth Edition, dated 8 Nov. 1908.
